Clean Harbors workers to vote on tentative deal

A tentative collective agreement has been reached at Clean Harbors, bringing a strike by 76 employees to a halt.

Workers at the Telfer Road landfill, members of Unifor Local 914, walked off the job on Monday, November 22, after negotiations failed to reach a new collective bargaining agreement.

The tentative deal, reached on Thursday, is said to include wage increases and also resolves outstanding seniority issues.

Specific contract details will be released pending ratification.

Union members are scheduled to vote on the agreement on Saturday, December 4.
