Sarnia police seized over $3,000 worth of drugs, around $8,300 in cash and a Taser during a bust Wednesday night.
The service's Vice Unit was investigating a 44-year-old Sarnia resident who was believed to be trafficking illegal drugs within the city.
At around 9:30 p.m., officers used a warrant to enter a home in the 100 block of Mayfair Drive. The accused, along with four other individuals, were located inside and arrested.
During a search of the residence, officers located 14.2 grams of fentanyl, with a street value of $2,840, and 3.9 grams of methamphetamine, worth roughly $319. Officers also found $8,360 in cash, a Taser and an expandable baton.
The accused, Lesilie William Hawkins, is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a weapon. They were being held in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
Two of the individuals that were present in the residence were released unconditionally while the other two were arrested in regards to outstanding warrants.
