Persistence has paid off for a frequent participant in Imperial Theatre's monthly 50/50 draw.
Harley Levitt won the February jackpot of $53,890.
The theatre said Levitt and his wife have entered the draw since the "very beginning".
"They are supporters of the Imperial Theatre and their daughter used to perform on stage with Bluewater Musical Productions," read a media release from the theatre. "After receiving a tour of the newly renovated facility, they were very impressed with the improvements the lottery has allowed the performing arts centre to complete during the pandemic."
Funds from the February draw have allowed the theatre to replace the main doors and complete an electrical upgrade in regards to theatrical lighting.
The popular fundraiser has also allowed for the construction of a dedicated youth program space. Over the next few weeks, drywall and flooring will be done in the space.
So far, the theatre has given away over $2.1 million in prizes.
The 50/50 draw for March includes an early bird prize of $5,000. The early bird draw is scheduled to take place on Friday, March 11.
50/50 tickets can be purchased online.
The winning ticket for the March draw will be announced over Facebook Live on April 4 at 10 a.m.
