Environment Canada has ended a wind warning which was issued for Sarnia-Lambton on Saturday.
The national weather agency warned of possible widespread power outages due to strong wind gusts which swept across the region.
The strong southwest wind was expected to develop late Sunday morning or early afternoon as a cold front moves through southern Ontario.
Wind gusts of 80 to 90 kilometres per hour were possible alongside thunderstorms that could have produced localized wind gusts in excess of 100 km/ hr.
The expected cold front will put an end to the brief period of mild temperatures.
