Death investigation in Enniskillen now considered murder

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is now investigating the death of a 45-year-old Sarnia man as a homicide.

The OPP said that Lambton County officers responded to the report of a deceased person at approximately 7 a.m. on Thursday, April 14.

According to police, the body was found in a rural parking lot off of Marthaville Road, which caused the road to be shut down for an extended period of time to investigate.

Police have identified the victim as Andrew Chute and believe his death to be a targeted incident with no threat to public safety.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
