Sarnia-Lambton's United Way is hoping to raise a whole lotta dough with the help of Global Donuts & Deli.
The non-profit and the local restaurant have teamed up for the inaugural We Are United for Donuts campaign April 27.
Executive Director Dave Brown said they're hoping to sell between 1,000 and 1,500 of the United-Way-themed donut.
"We're putting a lot of effort into this, as is Global Donuts & Deli, and of course they've got a very loyal customer base, they're a local business and that's pretty unique in this community."
Brown said residents can pick up their donuts from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
"It's what we would call a Boston Cream donut, but it's a genuine custard filled donut with rather than chocolate icing, you'll have a red icing very similar to the United Way logo."
Brown said they're excited to partner with such a great local business and that owner Gus Pantazis and his team have been great to work with so far.
