Several Bluewater Power employees are helping out where needed, as communities across the province continue to clean up following Saturday's deadly storms.
Bluewater Power President and CEO Janice McMichael-Dennis said the crew left Tuesday.
"Bluewater Power sent off seven tradespeople and four vehicles to help out in the Woodstock area where they suffered some significant damage," said McMichael-Dennis. "They're actually expected to finish up there Wednesday night. They've worked very long days and done a great job, as they always do. Then they'll be headed up to the Kingston rural area, where there's also significant damage."
McMichael-Dennis said the Sarnia-Lambton area in comparison suffered minimal damage in the storm.
"We suffered with three downed poles, and also some trees down as well but relatively speaking compared to other areas in the province that was light," she said. "Our three poles were actually in the Alvinston-Watford area which was hit the worst. But we had all that damage cleared up by nightfall."
She said they have put out the offer for assistance to other utilities that need it.
On Thursday, Bluewater Power said crews were also helping in Peterborough.
