Race to Erase boosts funds for local charities

Over $27,000 has been raised for nine charities and organizations in Sarnia-Lambton through the 14th annual Race to Erase fundraiser.

The event was held on May 28. Teams raced around the city to compete in various challenges.

Twenty-eight teams took part in this year's fundraiser.

The top three fastest teams were Read It and Weep, The 789s, and Gimme Shelter. Read It and Weep finished the challenges in 1,645 second and were named "Race to Erase Champs!"

The annual fundraiser raised a total of $27,514.

The last in-person Race to Erase event was held in 2019 and raised about $43,000.
