Storms that rumbled through parts of Sarnia-Lambton Monday evening has left some residents in the dark.
Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Sarnia-Lambton at around 4:20 p.m. Monday. At around 5:44 p.m., the national weather agency upgraded the watch to a warning. The warning was lifted and a watch was put back in place just before 8 p.m.
All watches and warnings for Sarnia-Lambton ended by 9 p.m.
Heavy wind gusts of 90 km/h to 110 km/h were predicted with this storm. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles.
As a result, a number of power outages have been reported. Hydro One has stated that it is working on a number of storm-related outages.
"Crews are responding to outages as quickly as possible due to severe thunderstorms and high winds," a statement from the company read.
At around 8 p.m., Bluewater Power reported an outage that has impacted around 1,200 people in the area of Watford and Oil Springs.

As of Tuesday morning, Hydro One was still dealing with scattered outages across Lambton affecting over 3,000 customers in Kettle Point, Camlachie, Watford, Petrolia, Mooretown, and Sombra.
Restoration times ranged from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
