Sarnia Sting defeat Spitfires in OT

The Sarnia Sting took down the Spitfires 2-1 in overtime in Windsor Saturday night.

The Sting's Alexis Daviault was the first player to reach the back of the net in the third period.  Windsor's Nolan Morneau would tie the game at 1-1 less than two minutes later at 7:31.

Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Ty Voit scored the overtime winner for the Sarnia Sting just 19 seconds into the extra frame.

Sarnia goalie Ben Gaudreau made 22 saves in the win.

The Windsor Spitfires welcome the Sudbury Wolves to the WFCU Centre on Thursday, October 6.

The Sarnia Sting host Saginaw on Friday, October 7 in their season home opener at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.
