A local nonprofit organization is making a final push to sell tickets for Noelle's Gift Vehicle and Cash Draw.
Founder Nicole Paquette said just over half of the 1,211 tickets have been sold. She said she hopes to see more tickets being sold as the deadline approaches.
Last year, Paquette said tickets sold out just 20 minutes before the draw took place.
"Normally we have [the draw] on November 11, which is Noelle's birthday, but we pushed it back to December 28 in hopes that people would maybe purchase them as Christmas gifts," said Paquette.
The third annual vehicle and cash lottery launched in October. The first prize draw is $5,000 and the grand prize is a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport.
Teraze Gray and Vince Savo won the early bird prizes of $500 each.
The non-profit organization was established in 2013, in honour of former teacher Noelle Paquette, and supports youth within Lambton-Kent.
"With inflation and the pandemic, we are being utilized more than ever. Even the snack programs that we support, the one has tripled in participants so the need is definitely there."
Tickets can be purchased at Finch Ford Lincoln on Indian Road or online.
Members of Noelle's Gift will also sell tickets at Sunripe Freshmarket in Sarnia on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
