'Sweet' event returns to Forest

Residents will flock to the sugar bush this weekend for the Forest Maple Syrup Festival.

The Kiwanis Club of Forest is hosting its annual Pancake Breakfast and Maple Syrup Festival at the Forest Fairgrounds on Sunday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The breakfast will include pancakes, sausages, baked beans, tropical fruit, and beverages. It costs $15 for adults and $8 for children between the ages of four and 10.

Take-out orders will also be available by calling 519-466-2287.

Attendees will also be able to tour Ryan's Sweet Maple.

The Forest Fairgrounds is located at 45 Jefferson St., and Ryan's Sweet Maple is located just north of the fairgrounds on Highway 21.

Bill Vandenberg previously told Sarnia News Today that they tapped their trees early this year due to the up and down temperatures this winter.
