Sarnia Sting forward Ty Voit is joining the Toronto Marlies' playoff run.
On Wednesday, Voit was assigned to the AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs ahead of the Marlies' third round matchup against the Rochester Americans. Game 1 is set for Thursday night.
Voit, 19, was drafted by the Maple Leafs in the fifth round of the 2021 NHL entry draft.
The Pittsburgh native finished second in OHL scoring during the 2022-23 campaign, finishing with 24 goals and 105 points. Voit also racked up three goals and 13 assists in 16 postseason games.
Over his three seasons with Sarnia, Voit had recorded 58 goals and 155 assists in 183 regular season games. He's put up a total of five goals and 17 assists in 22 playoff games.
