Several vendors will fill Greenwood Arena on Saturday, May 13 for the annual Spring Craft and Gift Show, organized by the Optimist Club of Lambton Central - Petrolia.
Chair Deb Kohoutek said they have over 70 vendors signed up to sell items ranging from tupperware to clothing.
"It will be a great event! We have a barbeque taking place with our Optimist Club as well and there will be free door prize draws, plus a toonie table draw with a donation from each of our vendors," said Kohoutek.
The free event will run from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Kohoutek said the spring craft and gift show has been running for about 10 years now. They typically see about 1,000 throughout the day.
Funds raised will go back into the community through programs and events organized by the Optimist Club of Lambton Central - Petrolia.
Kohoutek said a couple of the programs include: pillowcases being given to children who check into the Petrolia and Sarnia Bluewater Health sites, and the reading fair on Canada Day where books and gift bags are given to youth.
"There are so many things we do for the community. We have Kerr Park... we support the building and upgrading of playground equipment at that particular location, we sponsor free skates and free swims, and we usually have some community barbeque time on Family Day."
Events and initiatives supported by the club can be found on their Facebook page.
