UPDATE: OPP locate "erratic" Grand Bend Driver

Lambton OPP have located a male suspect accused of yelling racial comments at pedestrians while driving erratically through Grand Bend.

The alleged incident happened on Main Street at around 1 a.m. on Saturday, June 3.

Police believe the same suspect was later involved in a verbal altercation which led to the suspect striking an individual's vehicle in a parking lot before fleeing at a high rate-of-speed. Police said a similar incident then ensued on Mollard Line where the suspect allegedly struck another vehicle multiple times before fleeing again.

The suspect was described as a white male, possibly in his early 20s, with a thin build and a goatee, standing approximately 5'11" tall. The man was also wearing a black baseball hat backwards with 'hockey hair' curling from under the hat.

Police said his vehicle would likely have front-end and passenger side damage.

On Saturday, Lambton OPP said the suspect had been located.

"Due to information provided by the public, the suspect has been identified and was taken into custody without incident," they wrote. "Thank you to everyone who reached out with information."
