Sarnia Police respond to a single-vehicle crash on Lakeshore Road. 6 August 2023. (Photo by Sarnia Police)A section of Lakeshore Road in Sarnia was closed for a few hours Sunday afternoon after a driver took down some telephone lines.
First responders were called to a single-vehicle crash between Modeland Road and Blackwell Side Road before 3:30 p.m.
Sarnia police said the motorist was taken to hospital with minor injuries and was later released. The driver was also charged with careless driving.
Police said the area was closed for a few hours while crews from Bell repaired the downed lines.
Rondeau Harbour and Wheatley Harbour will now have the funding to make infrastructure repairs and upgrades.
