Sarnia man pleads guilty to manslaughter in wife's death

A Sarnia man accused of murdering his wife has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of manslaughter.

Michael Robert Adamson, who was 47-years-old at the time of his arrest, was originally charged with first-degree murder in the death of Christine Adamson nearly a year ago.

The 47-year-old woman's body was found in the basement of her Roger Street home, several days after being reported missing in early October, 2022.

On Monday in Sarnia Court, Adamson pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to seven years, less time served.
