Watersheds to be highlighted during PA Day event

The Lambton Heritage Museum has teamed up with the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority to teach students about watersheds during Friday's PA Day.

The drop-in event, Our Wonderful Watersheds, will take place at the museum in Grand Bend between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Staff from the conservation authority will detail how human activity and agriculture can affect the watersheds and how changes have affected species in the area.

The all-ages programming will include demonstrations, games, and activities.

“What we do on land impacts our watersheds and the environment. We’re so pleased to be working with the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority to highlight this important topic,” said Heritage Museum Educational Program Coordinator Colleen Inglis.

Admission to attend the event is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors (65+) and students, and $3 for children. Children aged three and under are free.
