The Sarnia-Lambton United Way campaign has raised another $105,000 in the last week, with the running total now up to around $820,000.
Executive Director Dave Brown said they're now into week eight of the annual fundraising campaign, and they're at 58.5 per cent of their $1.4 million target.
He said mail donations are still strong, and some big employee campaigns are still underway.
"Imperial is still winding down, they've still got some events going on and a couple follow ups," said Brown. "The NOVA campaign is off to a great start. Their match deadline is not until November 27, so there's still a few weeks to grow there as well. Indications look really positive so far, but as I say we still got another six weeks to go."
Brown said they're still ahead of last year's pace by about two per cent.
"We're certainly feeling more and more positive about the campaign,' said Brown. There's still a lot of moving parts between now and the first of the year, but we're excited about it."
The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton funds 17 local agencies providing over 31 programs and services, including the Canadian Red Cross Society-Sarnia-Lambton Branch, Inn of the Good Shepherd and Family Counselling Centre.
