Charges laid following Hwy 402 garbage truck crash

The driver of a garbage truck has been charged with careless driving following a crash on Highway 402 last week.

Following an inquiry made by Sarnia News Today after the collision occurred on Thursday, November 9, Lambton OPP released more details on Tuesday, November 14.

Constable Jamie Bydeley said "it appears it was a single-vehicle crash" that happened near Mandaumin Road at around 2:30 a.m.

He said no injuries were reported.

Highway 402 traffic cameras showed the vehicle had entered the centre median.

Traffic was reduced to one lane for several hours while crews from Preferred Towing recovered the vehicle from the middle of the highway.
