Hundreds expected at Lambton College open house

Prospective students can tour the halls of Lambton College on Saturday during its open house.

Lambton College will host the in-person event from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Enrolment Initiatives Coordinator Shawn Fowler said current students will conduct tours of the campus and faculty will be on hand to answer any questions.

For those interested in the college's popular Fire School, a shuttle will be available from the Sarnia campus to the school at 459 Lasalle Line.

"It's really a great day to see everything that Lambton College has to offer," Fowler said. "All of our facilities will be open so they can tour our labs … It's a great way to really experience the student life and get the student's perspective while they're seeing our campus."

Attendees will also have the chance to win prizes, including $2,800 to go toward their first-year tuition fee.

The enrollment team will also be on hand to assist students with their applications.

Pre-registration for the open house is encouraged but not required. At the beginning of the week, around 400 people had pre-registered for the open house but Fowler said the majority of registrations are made a day or so before the event.

Free parking will be available at the school during the open house.
