A Sarnia woman is facing serious charges after a fatal crash closed a portion of Highway 402 westbound near Modeland Road last month.
Lambton OPP, Lambton EMS, Sarnia Fire and Rescue Services, and Ornge air ambulance responded to the five vehicle crash on October 2 at around 1:50 p.m.
It involved three commercial vehicles and two passenger vehicles.
The driver and passenger in one of the cars were pronounced deceased at the scene. Another person suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital.
At the time, police asked the public for dashcam footage as part of the investigation.
In an update Wednesday, police said a 34-year-old woman has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death and one count of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia at a later date.
