HUB International is collecting winter wear at its Exmouth Street location this week.
Personal Insurance Account Assistant, and Social Committee Coordinator, Chassiti Westover said it's the third year they've done it.
"We're asking for donations to be brought to 265 Exmouth, we're directly across from Norm Perry Park," said Westover. "We had a large quantity of warm winter wear, like sweaters and coats [donated], so we're still a little bit low on little items like socks, mitts, hats, scarfs."
Westover said they'll be distributing the small items in downtown Sarnia on November 27.
"We tie a ribbon with a little message on it and those are the items that we hang downtown, off of the shrubs, and the fences, and the trees by the library," she said.
The big items will be donated to River City Vineyard.
"We're very fortunate that we are able to give back to our community. Little things help. You might only donate a couple pairs of gloves, but that's keeping somebody's hands warm," Westover said.
Westover said the last day to donate is Friday, November 24.
"We're open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We have everything around the Christmas tree in reception. We have boxes there that people can drop stuff off," she said.
Westover said the Sarnia HUB office is very focused on fundraising throughout the year.
Fun dress up days and other events are held to collect money to distribute to charities at the end of the year.
