Kettle and Stony Point business receives Indigenous Entrepreneurship Grant

A business in Kettle and Stony Point First Nation has received one of ten Hydro One Indigenous Entrepreneurship Grants.

Hydro One Networks Inc. (Hydro One) and the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) announced Friday that Bawating Building Science [BBS] will receive $7,500.

President Trevor Trainor thanked the organizations for selecting his business.

“At Bawating Building Science, we strive to listen to the communities we service and incorporate traditional knowledge with our understanding of scientific and engineering principles to find solutions to building design and construction challenges," Trainor said. "This support signifies a step towards realizing the ongoing goals of our business and the communities we work with."

Each business recognized by Hydro One and CCAB provides services such as housing, construction, virtual reality and web development, cultural awareness training, graphic and commercial art, and family reunification.
