Santa and Mrs. Claus will soon visit Canatara Park as festive activities get underway for the 49th annual Christmas on the Farm event.
The free holiday tradition, organized by the City of Sarnia and Seaway Kiwanis Club, will be held on December 8 from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on December 9 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Activities will be held near the Children's Animal Farm, which will be open during its regular hours.
Traditional festivities will be held such as ice-carving demonstrations, crafts, horse and carriage rides, train rides, crafts, and cookie giveaways.
Santa Claus will visit the park on Saturday at 1 p.m. Olaf from Frozen and Rudolf will also be at the park on December 9.
For those who are unable to see the jolly man himself, letters to Santa can be dropped off.

Communications Manager Steve Henschel said new this year is free shuttle service to and from the event. Sarnia Transit will travel from the Northgate Terminal directly to Canatara Park every 30 minutes, beginning at 4:30 p.m. on December 8 and at 9 a.m. on December 9.
"It's a busy space down there and with the event occupying more space, it just makes sense for some people who might not want to deal with a line-up to get into the park or parking, to have that option to come right from Northgate to the park without having to park on site," said Henschel.
To accommodate for the event, a section of Cathcart Boulevard west of Lake Chipican Drive will be closed to traffic, beginning on December 8 at 3 p.m.
