Sarnia-Lambton residents were advised to brace for a winter storm headed for the region Friday afternoon into Saturday.
Environment Canada issued a winter weather travel advisory for the county Friday afternoon, which ended before morning Saturday.
The weather agency advised of snowfall accumulations of around five centimetres.
Strong wind gusts were also anticipated, which could significantly reduce visibility because of blowing snow.
"Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing conditions and take extra care when walking or driving in affected area," the agency said in the advisory.
After the storm Sarnia-Lambton is expected to get cold, with a high of only minus 12 degrees Celsius on Monday.
