Tyson Doucette and Carter Kostuch each had a goal and an assist each for the Sting and Marko Sikic scored a short-handed goal.
Vegas Golden Knights prospect Arttu Karki opened the scoring for the Soo, his 20th of the season, and New York Rangers prospect Bryce McConnell-Barker notched two goals and an assist in the win.
The loss drops the Sting to 23-33-3-1.
Sarnia is now six points behind the Flint Firebirds for the eighth and final playoff spot in the OHL Western Conference.
The Sting are back on the ice in London on Friday to face the Knights.
