Lake effect snow squalls are anticipated for the first full day of spring.
Environment Canada issued a weather advisory for north and east Lambton as heavy snowfall is expected off of Lake Huron, beginning Wednesday evening.
A snow squall warning was also issued for London, east Middlesex, Goderich, and Southern Huron County.
The national weather agency said total accumulations of up to 10 centimetres of snow is possible by Thursday morning.
Motorists are being advised to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. There may be reduced visibility during periods of heavy and blowing snow, as strong northwesterly winds are expected.
Snow squalls are expected to taper off overnight.
