Lambton College is hoping to welcome as many as 600 potential students to its spring open house this Saturday.
Enrollment Advisor Brady Chambers said it's a great time to see the state-of-the-art facilities, modern classrooms, and vibrant campus life.
"Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. we have the whole campus open and on display for people to come in and explore the school," Chambers said. "[You can] speak with faculty and take tours. It's your best day to explore the school and see what Lambton has to offer."
Chambers said Lambton's faculty and staff can help guide students toward the perfect program.
"We have about 70 full-time programs, in all sorts of different areas," he said. "Our School of Business is home to programs like Business Administration Accounting and Business Administration General, where you can focus in different areas like marketing and human resources."
If you're interested in the field of health sciences, Chambers said the NOVA Chemicals Health and Research Centre is a must see.
"We have our own Honours Bachelor of Science - Nursing program now with all four years in Sarnia at Lambton College, inside one of the largest simulation hospitals in the province," Chambers said.
He said the School of Technology is another must see.
"With programs like Chemical Production and Power Engineering Technology, and Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology, it's a very fun place to explore that day if you're thinking about getting a job in the trades or technology," said Chambers.
The Fire School on Lasalle Line will also be open for tours.
"We will have shuttles running from our main campus out to the fire school, so if you're exploring a career in the firefighting world... Saturday is your day to explore that as well," he said.
Student guides will be on site to lead tours and provide insight into academic and extracurricular programs.
Chambers said attendees will have a chance to win $2,800 towards first-year tuition.
Members of the enrollment team will also help students complete their application, and cover the $125 fee if you submit it at the open house.
