Petrolia shocked by generous Bluewater Power donation

The Town of Petrolia's 150th celebrations received a surprise funding boost Thursday.

Following Bluewater Power's Annual General Meeting at Victoria Hall, the utility presented the town with a donation of $15,000.

“This is an incredible surprise! Thank you for your support! This is such a generous gift," said Mayor Brad Loosley in a news release.

The one-time gift will go towards Petrolia's planned 150 celebrations, which kicked off at the beginning of the year.

The town has planned a variety of small and large-scale events to over the 12 months to mark the anniversary.
