Plympton-Wyoming's Michigan Line closes for road work

A section of Michigan Line in Plympton-Wyoming will be closed over the next month for road reconstruction work.

The town said Michigan Line will be closed to through traffic between O’Brien Road and Camlachie Road from June 3 until July 12, weather permitting.

Access will be maintained for local traffic, however, there may be periodic delays during the construction activity.

The work will consist of pulverizing the existing surface treatment, adding sub-drains, minor ditch re-grading, road base reconstruction, and placing additional granular road base.

The Town of Plympton-Wyoming also said the roadway will be "hard resurfaced" from where 2023 construction was completed to approximately 700 metres west of Camlachie Road.

If construction temporarily blocks garbage and recycling pick-up points, the contractor will help with bin collection and transportation. Residents are advised to clearly mark their bins with their address to ensure they are returned to the correct residence.
