OPP seize drugs during traffic stop

Three people have been charged after Lambton OPP seized approximately $5,000 worth of drugs during a traffic stop in Enniskillen Township.

Provincial police said a vehicle was stopped on Petrolia Line on June 3, shortly after 2:30 a.m. for a Highway Traffic Act violation.

An unspecified quantity of suspected illegal drugs were allegedly found inside the vehicle.

As a result, a 26-year-old from Plympton-Wyoming, a 26-year-old Lambton Shores resident, and a 21-year-old of no fixed address were each charged with two counts of possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.

OPP said the accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on July 17.
