Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the St. Clair River Trail.
The safety reminder comes from Lambton OPP as more people are getting outdoors in the hot temperatures.
Prohibited vehicles include dirt bikes, ATVs, golf carts, UTVs and side-by-sides.
In a news release, the OPP said failure to comply with the rules will result in a $200 fine.
"The Lambton County OPP remains committed to making Lambton County a safer, more inclusive and connected community where all residents thrive with a continued focus on community safety and well-being for the citizens we serve and protect," it said.
The St. Clair River Trail is a premium waterfront trail stretching 35 kilometres from Corunna, south along the St. Clair River to Port Lambton.
