A boil water advisory that was in effect for Kettle and Stony Point for two weeks has been lifted.
The advisory was first issued on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 due to a planned water main repair on Indian Lane.
Repairs took longer than expected due to weather conditions, but were completed by 6 p.m. that day.
The First Nation said two satisfactory water sample results were required to lift the cautionary advisory.
In a post to social media, the First Nation's Health Services said they were notified of a power failure at ALS Labs, therefore deeming submitted water samples unreadable and the second round of tests unusable.
Water testing resumed on Monday, July 8 and Tuesday, July 9 and samples were submitted to ALS Labs.
Results came back in time to lift the advisory on Thursday afternoon.
