Another round of thunderstorms was expected in north and east Lambton County on Tuesday night.
Environment Canada posted a severe thunderstorm watch just before 4 p.m.
"These thunderstorms are expected to be more isolated in nature, compared to thunderstorms from this morning," the agency said in its bulletin. "The primary threat with these thunderstorms is expected to be strong wind gusts. Should multiple thunderstorms track over the same location, rainfall amounts of 30 mm are possible."
Torrential downpours that passed through the region Tuesday morning resulted in flooded roads, fields and parking lots. The city also reported flooded basements.
Lambton OPP closed Highway 402 for several hours as a result of flooding. It reopened mid-afternoon.
A flood watch has been posted by the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority.
