Motorists should expect to see an increased police presence in Camlachie after "numerous" traffic complaints were issued, specific to Egremont Road.
Lambton OPP said the complaints had to do with speeding and drivers failing to stop at stop signs.
There has been an increase in traffic along Egremont Road due to ongoing construction on Lakeshore Road, which is expected to last until late September.
"Expect to see heightened police presence in the area as officers conduct traffic enforcement operations," said OPP in a media release. "We urge the public to obey all traffic regulations, including adhering to stop signs and speed limits. Non-compliance with these rules may result in charges."
The Town of Plympton-Wyoming has deployed a speed display sign on Egremont Road to remind drivers to adhere to the 50 kilometre per hour speed limit.
Council previously heard that the additional signage will be allocated to the 2024 operating budget.
