A man found passed out behind the wheel is facing several charges.
Sarnia police were called to a gas station on Indian Road South Wednesday, after concerned residents spotted an unresponsive driver in a pickup truck, with the engine still running.
When officers arrived, they took precautionary measures to make sure the vehicle couldn't be driven before they attempted to wake him.
Police said drug paraphernalia was also found in plain sight and a syringe could be seen inserted in the man's wrist.
Once officers successfully awakened the man, he was taken into custody.
Following tests at the Sarnia Police Station, he was charged with impaired driving and possession of a controlled substance.
Police said the 34-year-old from Tilbury was already facing multiple charges, including impaired driving, stemming from an incident in 2023.
