Alleged porch pirate returns to Sarnia home in disguise

Sarnia police are asking for tips to help identify a suspect accused of stealing a package from a Davis Street residence, near Kathleen Avenue.

A woman believed to be in her late 30s or early 40s, was allegedly seen scouting porches on October 22 at around 4:45 p.m.

Sarnia police said she was riding a red mountain bike at the time.

"After noticing a ring doorbell camera, the individual returned wearing a disguise and stole a package off the front porch," said police in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

The incident was featured as the Crime of the Week.

Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers said the stolen package contained an expensive Columbia women’s winter coat.

The suspect is described as a white female with blonde hair.

Initially, she wore a long grey dress, a black backpack, and black and white sandals. The disguise included a blonde wig, a black jacket with the hood up, and a pink handbag
