The fire department was called to fire on Prince Street in Marthaville, with assistance from the Plympton-Wyoming Fire Department.
Firefighters said the wind driven fire did cause significant damage but they were able to save the home and a couple of garages.
Information surrounding any injuries, damage estimate and cause was not immediately available.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
