The Sarnia Police Service (SPS) Aamjiwnaang crusier has won first place in a Blue Line Magazine Canada's contest.
The vehicle won in the Community Relations category for its National Best Dressed Vehicle contest.
SPS unveiled the vehicle in May and the design was created by local landscape designer and artist Aaron Plain.
The community patrol vehicle is used by the Aamjiwnaang Community Officer.
This is the second time Sarnia police have won in this contest. Last year, it received a third-place win in the "Best Dressed" general patrol category.
"This community patrol vehicle design initiative is intended to preserve the unique identity of the Aamjiwnaang First Nation, with SPS as their chosen policing provider. It is a key part of our ongoing commitment to fostering positive community relationships with those we serve," said Sarnia police.
The vehicle will be featured in the March/ April 2025 edition of Blue Line magazine.
