Traffic stop leads to weapons and drugs in Lambton Shores

A traffic stop in Lambton Shores has led to the arrest of a Kettle and Stony Point First Nation woman for drugs and weapons.

On Thursday, Anishinabek police stopped a vehicle on West Ipperwash Road for a traffic violation.

Police searched her vehicle and found she was in possession of numerous Lorazepam, OxyContin and Crystal Meth.

Officers also located brass knuckles and a flick knife.

Prior to the search, police learned she had a suspended licence.

Police said she actively resisted officers but was ultimately arrested.

The 37-year-old faces numerous drug and weapon charges.

She was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
