The Sarnia Sting have announced the OHL club will not be renewing the contracts of three staff members ahead of the upcoming season.
Goalie Coach Franky Palazzese, Head Athletic Therapist Jennifer Love, and Head Equipment Manager Dawson Young will be moving on.
General Manager Dylan Seca said as the club continues to evolve and prepare for the future, these changes mark a period of transition.
He said while this decision was not made lightly, it reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to growth, performance, and long-term success.
"We want to sincerely thank Franky, Dawson, and Jennifer for their dedication and the meaningful impact they’ve had on our program,” said Seca. "They’ve each contributed to our culture in unique ways, and we wish them nothing but success as they move forward in their careers."
The Sting praised each of them for being valued members of the family, while playing an important role in the daily operations and culture of their program.
Palazzese is a former OHL goalie who was hired in 2019.
Love was hired in 2021 after completing her Bachelor of Applied Health Science Degree in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College in 2020.
Young was a longtime member of the organization, and was part of a group given contract extensions in 2023.
