Bright's Grove Music Fest to support Noelle's Gift

Organizers of the seventh annual Bright's Grove Music Fest are hoping for clear skies and a good turnout, as money raised this year will support Noelle's Gift to Children.

The two-day event at Kenwick Park will feature 10 local bands, five on Friday, July 11 and five on Saturday, July 12.

Director and committee member James Snider said gates will open at 3:30 p.m. each day with live music scheduled to start at 4 p.m.

"We're going to have multiple craft vendors there from around the area, we'll have Twisted Arm doing the beverage tent again, we'll have multiple food trucks," said Snider.

Attendees can bring lawn chairs.

Admission is $10 per adult, children 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.

Snider said they expect to see about 1,000 people during the shows.

The goal is to raise around $15,000.

"We were really hoping to work with Noelle's Gift, we've had them in mind for the last few years," Snider said. "What they're doing for the community and for the children -- and also the fact that they're very local, it really seemed to fit."

Noelle's Gift is a non-profit organization that supports students in the Lambton-Kent region through various initiatives, including the nutrition program.

Last year, $17,415 was raised for The Inn of the Good Shepherd.

Further details about the event's schedule can be found on the Bright's Grove Music Fest Facebook page.
