Lambton Public Health (LPH) is searching for a dog and its owner after a bite incident on Tuesday.
The health unit said it happened on Devine Street across from Westbury Court around 6 p.m.
The dog is described as black with a medium build, resembling a pitbull, and was being walked by a male owner who appeared to be in his late teens or early 20s.
The owner was walking with two other people around the same age.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lambton Public Health at 519-383-8331 ext. 3812 or toll-free 1-800-667-1839.
If the dog is not located and the health status of the animal verified, the victim will need to receive post exposure rabies shots.
