Another local legion is getting ready to celebrate the Royal Canadian Legion's 100th anniversary.
The Forest Legion Branch 176 will host a community celebration on Sunday, July 26, from 12 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Hamburgers, hot dogs, and refreshments will be served.
Guests will also have the chance to learn about what the Legion does to support veterans and their families.
The Royal Canadian Legion was founded on November 25, 1925, during the National Unity Conference in Winnipeg. The Canadian Legion of the British Empire Services League was officially incorporated on July 17, 1926, read the Legion's website.
The Watford Legion recently held its Centenary Celebration from July 16 to July 19.
Meanwhile, the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 will mark 100 years in November.
