Brian W. of Sarnia has won $98,566.20 with PROLINE.
The 68-year-old said he’s been playing the lottery with OLG for over 35 years and is thrilled to celebrate his first major win.
“I like to check my tickets on OLG.ca in the morning while enjoying my coffee,” Brian shared while collecting his winnings in Toronto.
“It was just a normal morning for me,” the retiree recounted. “I was checking my tickets and noticed I had one sitting there from a couple of days earlier. I had no expectations and checked it without really thinking anything of it.”
Brian was eager to share the news with his wife of 35 years, but she was out of town. “It took everything in me not to call her immediately, but I wanted to tell her in person,” he explained. “Those few days felt like an eternity.”
“She was incredibly happy,” he said with a smile. “I’m so glad I waited to tell her in person. Seeing her reaction and experiencing that moment together is something I’ll never forget.”
With his windfall, Brian plans to pay some bills and invest. He’s also considering taking a trip to Scotland.
“I feel wonderful – truly wonderful. This is a moment I’ll cherish forever,” he said.
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Queen Street in Kincardine.
