The Sarnia Lambton Sports Hall of Fame will be inducting the class of 2015 during a special ceremony Saturday night.
President Dale Patterson says former Toronto Maple Leafs goalie and Sarnia native Tim Bernhardt is being inducted in the professional category.

A pair of amateurs will also be enshrined, weightlifter Dalas Santavy and gymnast Melanie Rocca. Santavy won multiple gold medals during his career, he also competed at the 2007 Pan Am Games in Brazil. Rocca has competed in several national and international competitions as well. She was named to the Mayor’s Honour List in 2003 for outstanding service to the people of Sarnia.
Rick Goodhand won the Bud Morrison award for making significant contributions to young people and their sports endeavours. He’s worked behind the scenes with the Forest Minor Ball Association for decades.
James Taylor is being recognized in the special achievement category, for making a significant contribution to sports in areas beyond athletic endeavours. The seventh degree black belt has coached over 140 regional, provincial and national champions.
In the team category, the 1987 Sarnia Sanivan men’s fastball team. They won the intermediate AA Provincial championship as well as the Sarnia Town and Country Regular season and playoff championship. Team members included Wayne Archer, Malcolm Dunlop, Pat Hobin, David McKinnon, Bob Einhorn, Tom Barr, Ted Davies, Darcy Kohut, Harry Saar, Larry Van Cowenburg, Rick Bettridge, Doug MacLachlan, Harold McLachlan, Al Melton, Chuck Archer and Lou Dimuzio. Bob Williamson was the Manager with Fred Fletcher serving as an assistant. The team was coached by Stan Hocking with Paul Campbell handling as an assistant.
The 33rd annual enshrinement dinner is being held at the Camlachie Community Centre.
