Six Former Sting Chase Playoff Glory

With no Canadian teams in the playoffs for the first time in a long time, many hockey fans are searching for a team to route for during the 2016 playoffs.

Sting fans, look no further. There are six alumni to keep an eye out for in the post season.

Brandon Mashinter is with Chicago, Matt Martin and Eric Boulton are with the Islanders, Brett Ritchie is in Dallas and Mike Haley has been up with San Jose.

Although an injury forced Tampa Bay captain Steven Stamkos out of the lineup, he could find himselves back in the Lighning line up if they make it through to the second round.

A pair of local players are also in the mix.

Strathroy native Brian Campbell is with the Florida Panthers and Petrolia's Michael Leighton is still listed on the Blackhawks roster. Leighton broke the AHL shutout record earlier this season, he's been up with Chicago on an injury replacement.
