Washington advanced with a 1-0 win over Philadelphia, they will face Pittsburgh in the second round. Dallas hung on to the 5-4 win over Minnesota to eliminate the Wild in six games.

Tonight, Anaheim is in Nashville with a 3-2 series lead and St. Louis hosts Chicago in game seven of their first round series.

MLB Ezequiel Carrera and Jose Bautista homered for Toronto as they doubled up Oakland 6-3 on Josh Donaldson MVP Bobblehead Day. (read MORE) Detroit fell to Cleveland 6-3. Anthony Rizzo homered twice as the Cubs blanked Cincinnati 9-0, Kansas City knocked off Baltimore 6-1, and Tampa Bay beat the Yankees 8-1.

Tonight the Blue Jays open a three game series with the Chicago White Sox at the Rogers Centre.

NBA Cleveland completed the first round sweep over the Pistons with a 100-98 win Sunday night. Golden State's Steph Curry will have an M-R-I today (Monday) after spraining his right knee in Game 4 against Houston, the Warriors won to take a 3-1 series lead. Toronto has the night off, they host Indiana Tuesday with the series died 2-2.

The LA Lakers are searching for their 5th coach since Phil Jackon left in 2011. The team has fire Byron Scott after coaching the the Lakers to the franchises' two worst seasons, going 38-126.

OHL Playoffs London beat Erie 6-1 to take a 2-0 series lead in the Western Conference Finals. The series now shifts back to London for games three and four Tuesday and Wednesday. Niagara hosts Barrie tonight in game three of the East Finals, leading 2-0.

UFC It looks like Connor McGregor is back for UFC 200. After a whirlwind week that saw him pulled from the main event against Nate Diaz for failure to fulfill promotional duties. He later threatened retirement. He tweeted Sunday that he is back on the card for the July 9 fight.

AHL The Toronto Marlies are a win away from the second round, they beat Bridgeport 3-0 Sunday to take a 2-0 series lead. Former Sting Richard Clune is with the Marlies. Sarnia native Dustin Jeffrey had an assists Saturday as Wilke-Barre/Scranton completed the three game sweep over Rockford. All three games were decided in overtime.

IIHF A tough finish for Canada at the World Under 18's. After a shootout loss in the semifinals Saturday, Canada dropped a 10-3 contest to the US in the bronze medal game Sunday. (read MORE) Finland stopped Sweden 6-1 to win gold.

Lacrosse Pt Edward Pacers dropped their home opener yesterday 10-8 in overtime against Hamilton. Brett Barnes had a hat trick while Korey Conroy had a four point night and Jack Dunn added three points. The Pacers fall to 0-3 after a loss in Elora on Saturday. They host London Wednesday at Pt Edward Arena.

FHL A solid fan turnout in Port Huron yesterday afternoon as the Prowlers celebrated their first Commissioners Cup win 44 years. The Prowlers beat Danbury Friday night in front of nearly 2,000 people at McMorran Arena to take the Ferderal Hockey League Championship.
