Four Sarnians completed the race under the 12 hour limit. Timothy Westaway was the fastest of the group with a nine hour and 17 minute time Fred Unternahrer finished in 10:52, Ken Walker in 11:24 and Dick Felton crossed the line at 11 hours, 55 minutes and 59 seconds...just four minutes shy of elimination
